I suppose the main unique selling point of the Steiner 7x30 Navigator Pro C Marine Binoculars is that they are the worlds smallest fully featured marine binocular. So great for travelling with and great if your boat, yacht or any other marine vessel is tight for space, but what exactly do Steiner mean when they say "fully featured marine binoculars?"

The main features on the 7x30 Steiner Navigator Pro C Marine Binoculars are:

They have a built in stabilized compass with electronic compass illumination
This means that the compass is stabilised, perfect for rough and choppy water and not the view through the binocular (see my article on Canon Stabilized Binoculars if you are looking for more info on image stabilization binoculars) The navigational compass could be used for locating fishing hot spots, racing or general navigation on the open water. The right side compass is also illuminated electronically, this allows you to get a bearing instantly in the dark. The compass view can be either turned off by the user or automatically for normal "compass free" viewing

Quality Steiner Optics
These Marine binoculars incorporate Anti haze "CAT" optics that block glare, but still provide you plenty brightness, even in pretty low light conditions. It also almost goes without saying that these marine binoculars from Steiner are fully waterproof!

Steiner Auto Focus Binoculars
As I have mentioned in another article these "Auto Focus Binoculars" or "Self Focusing Binoculars" are actually Always In Focus Binoculars. Steiner call it their Steiner Sports-Auto-Focus system, but what ever the name for it, once set the binocular up for your eyes, the Steiner 7x30 Navigator Pro C Marine Binocular keeps all objects in focus at distances from approximately 20 yards to infinity. Because of the greater depth of field in the Porro prism, 7X30 Navigator Pro, the binocular allows boaters to scan an entire seascape without having to readjust the focus. This allows them to be faster in locating navigational marks, hazards, harbour entrances, boats and other man made objects when used in conjunction with the integral compass. Please note: these binoculars use one CR1225 Lithium battery for the compass illumination.

Built-in range finder
An important feature to have out on the open water is Steiner's Built-in range finding horizontal and vertical mil reticle. To use it, you divide the height of an object that you know by the points read on the reticle scale when you look through the binocular. Assuming the known height of the landmark is in feet, the result is the range expressed in thousands of feet. Example: A lighthouse is known to be 150 feet high, and appears to be 15 points on the vertical scale of thereticle. 150/15 = 10, so the distance from your point to the lighthouse is 10,000 feet.

Small Binoculars
The Steiner Navigator Pro C is small and has a comfortable compact design, they only weigh 20 ounces, with dimensions of 4.6L x 6.8W x 2.2H (in inches). The Slim design and good balance makes the Steiner Navigator Pro easy to carry as well as use for extended periods so they also are great for viewing nature and wildlife whilst ashore, as well as all navigational duties whilst aboard.

Included with the Binoculars:
Objective Lens Covers, Rain Guard, Protective Case, Neck Strap, Cleaning Cloth, User Manual, Warranty Card
