Meopta MeoStar Series Binoculars Accessories

Aside from the quality of the binos themselves, one aspect that really struck me about the Meopta MeoStar B1 Series Binoculars whilst I was researching them for an upcoming review is the comprehensive range of accessories that you can get, specifically for this series.

It is true that some of these accessories are not much more than cosmetic, however some are really very useful and may even make the difference if you are unable to decide between two binoculars. So with this in mind I have decided to go over all of the available accessories specifically designed for Meostar binoculars in a little more detail for you:

2x Converter

Whilst zoom binoculars are very popular for those wanting to use their binoculars over longer distances, they come with many compromises that affect the quality of the view.

If you don’t want to compromise on the quality of the view when using your bins in normal conditions, but still want the extra power on occasions, a much better solution for my money is exactly what Meopta offer: Their 2x doubler enables you to easily convert your very high quality Meopta binocular into a spotting scope, by simply unscrewing the eyecup on the binocular and attaching the 2x converter.

MeoPix iScoping Adapters

From the amount of questions I get from people wanting to take photos of what the are looking at through their binoculars, it is surprising that more manufacturers don’t offer a solution.

Most digital camera binoculars, apart from perhaps the Sony DEV-5 and DEV-3 Digital Video binoculars that combine a camera with a binocular are little more than toys and as is the case with the Sony cost ALOT of money.

A much better solution in my opinion is digibinning, where you attach you camera to your binoculars. Most, like the Swarovski Snapshot Adapter are designed to attach a standard camera to one of the eyepieces on your binocular, however the Meopta MeoPix iScoping adapters are designed make it simple for you to connect your iPhone 5, 4/4s to the eyepiece so that you can easily capture long range photos and videos. Tripod Adapter

Most full sized roof prism binoculars can be attached to a tripod by unscrewing the little cap located at the front of the central hinge, which you then thread a tripod adapter into. This adapter then fixes to your tripod.

Meopta have designed an adapter that has a Quick Release button making the attaching an removal much simpler and quicker. What is great is that the adapter uses the standard sized thread and so can be used with most binoculars that are tripod adaptable. Air Cell Comfort Neck Strap

These must surely be one of, if not the most comfortable neck straps on the market. Available in two different widths, with the wide one distributing the weight over a very large area, these neck straps also have air pockets sewn into the underside.

The strap also features quick release clips that enable you to very quickly and easily attach and remove your binoculars from them.

Woolen Carry Case

Onto one of the more aesthetic accessories: Whilst you already get a really nice carry case with your Meopta Meostar binocular, they also offer a deluxe woolen carrying case. This may appeal to those who want a different, more elegant look, or if you have lost or damaged the original one.

Replacement Accessories

Meopta also offer replacement Objective Lens and Eyepiece Covers (Rain Guards), should you loose the original ones. They also have a replacement Lens Cleaning Cloth made from the best quality microfiber material that is specifically designed to remove water spots, oils and other marks or dirt without damaging your lenses and their coatings.
