Acuter is actually the terrestrial sports optics brand of Synta Technology Corp who are the owners of Sky-Watcher a world-famous, market leading brand of astronomical telescopes who have been making telescopes since 1980. Their aim is to make the highest quality telescopes and fieldscopes, but at a price that is within reach of most people who are curious enough to look up and wonder.
As well as spotting scopes, you can find Acuter branded binoculars, monoculars, microscopes and other related accessories like eyepieces, tripods and camera adapters for digiscoping.
Acuter currently produce scopes two ranges of "standard" spotting scopes, the Pro-Series (also known as ST fieldscopes) that come in three sizes with 65mm and 80mm and 100mm objective lens diameters in both angled and straight versions. They have now also introduced their new higher spec DS-Pro Series, that once again will include a range of lens diameters in both normal and ED glass (Extra-low Dispersion) versions. All Acuter fieldscopes are fully waterproof.
Acuter also produce two small scopes with many of the features of full-sized scopes. Called the Kolibri scope, it comes in a fixed 7x magnification version and a zoom version with magnifications of 12x-36x. They also produce a digital spotting scope - this fully Multi-Coated 70mm Refractor Spotting Scope comes with a fully integrated 3.1 Megapixel CMOS Digital camera with a 2" LCD color flip screen.
This is currently Acuter's top of the range series of spotting scopes. At the time of the writing there is only one model available, an angled 80mm version that comes with a 20x-60x zoom eyepiece which I was lucky to get my hands on to review, but there should soon be larger 100mm versions and ones with standard and ED glass in both straight and angled body designs.

Digiscoping
Acuter DS-Pro fieldscopes are also easily adaptable to photography with either a optional camera adapter tube. The tube fits over the zoom eyepiece and, combined with a T-mount adapter for your specific camera, creates a powerful telephoto lens. Or you can remove the eyecup on the supplied eyepieces to reveal a thread, to which you can attach a T-mount adaptor to connect to your SLR or DSLR Camera.

The Acuter Pro-Series Waterproof fieldscopes come with a O-ring sealed and nitrogen purged body making them fully waterproof, fogproof, and protection from dust. The scope tubes are covered with a protective rubberized paint finish to help protect from the elements.
There are six models available with a choice of 65mm, 80mm or 100mm objective lens diameters and Straight or 45° angled bodies.
A 8-24mm Zoom eyepiece is included with each model as standard.
