Swarovski Spotting Scopes

Swarovski Spotting Scope

Swarovski Optiks specialize in high end precision sports optics and they lead the field with their premium binoculars, telescopes, riflescopes as well as spotting scopes.

Their extensive range of spotting scopes stand out not only due to the quality of their optics but because of their high quality lightweight as well as rugged construction. These features as well as the possibility of taking photographs with them (digiscoping) - make Swarovski Optik spotting scopes some of the most popular on the market and are very highly rated in most spotting scope reviews. Swarovski provides a limited lifetime warranty for all their spotting scopes.

The Swarovski Spotting Scope Range

Swarovski produce scopes in two main sizes: 80 mm and 65 mm objective lens diameters. Choose from the 65mm versions for a more compact body and lightweight packing or the ultra light gathering 80mm model for low light viewing. Both sizes feature scopes with Swarovski HD lenses and are available in either angled (A) or straight body (S) designs.

In all there are 12 spotting scope models, that are sold as "body only" and eyepieces are purchased separately.  Swarovski does this so you can choose between their 3 options of eyepieces - the 25x-50x Wide Zoom eyepiece, the 20x-60x Zoom eyepiece, or the fixed 30x Wide eyepiece.

Swarovski ATM 80 HD Spotting ScopeSwarovski ATM 80 HD and STM 80 HD Spotting Scopes

The larger 80mm objective lens diameter does not only have excellent light-gathering qualities even at high magnifications, but the fluoride-containing HD lenses minimize color fringing (chromatic aberration) and deliver high contrast images with razor-sharp outlines. Due to the state of the art magnesium body construction, these scopes are also very rugged as well as lightweight. The ATM 80 HD weighs just 1280g (45.2oz), whist the STM 80 HD is even lighter: 1270g (44.8oz) and the full rubber armoring helps protect the scope from impacts.

ATM 80 HD - (Angled Telescope Magnesium)
Ideal for "comfortable" birdwatching as the angled body of the Swarovski ATM 80 HD makes it far more comfortable to view objects like birds at different heights, such as in the air or in trees and for the hunter the angled scope is great for comfortable observation in steep terrain.

STM 80 HD - (Straight Telescope Magnesium)
The straight body of the Swarovski STM 80 HD simplifies locating and following birds in flight and makes it easier to observe from a hide or car.  The straight body scopes provide straight line viewing, making locating your target that bit easier.

You will pay top dollar for these top of the range spotting scopes, but as they say: "you often get what you pay for" and here you are getting the very best.

Swarovski STM 65 HD Spotting ScopeSwarovski ATM 65 HD and STM 65 HD Spotting Scopes

The Swarovski 65mm objective lens diameter angled and straight magnesium spotting scopes are impressive: Due to the magnesium body construction and their smaller size, they are very compact as well as lightweight spotting scopes and are ideal for travelling with, for observation that involves frequent changes of location, or those who just prefer a lighter scope.

Like the larger 80mm versions these use fluoride-containing HD lenses that minimize color fringing (chromatic aberration) and deliver high contrast images with razor-sharp outlines. Due to the state of the art magnesium body construction, these scopes are also very rugged as well as lightweight.

ATM 65 HD - (Angled Telescope Magnesium)
Ideal for "comfortable" birdwatching as the angled body of the Swarovski ATM 65 HD makes it far more comfortable to view objects like birds at different heights, such as in the air or in trees and for the hunter the angled scope is great for comfortable observation in steep terrain.

STM 65 HD - (Straight Telescope Magnesium)
The straight body of the Swarovski STM 65 HD simplifies locating and following birds in flight and makes it easier to observe from a hide or car.  The straight body scopes provide straight line viewing, making locating your target that bit easier.

Swarovski ATM 80 Spotting ScopeSwarovski ATM 80 and STM 80 Spotting Scopes

The Swarovski ATM 80 (angled) and Swarovski STM 80 (straight) are cheaper than the HD magnesium bodied scopes above, because they do not have the HD Lenses of the top of the range versions. These standard glass scopes do however still have extreamly high quality optics and excellent light transmission is still achieved with the fully multi-coated and Swarotop lens coatings. The super lightweight and tough magnesium body with the full rubber armoring that helps to protect the scope from minor impacts and they are also fully water and fogproof and come with the Swaroclean coating on the lenses that repels water and residue on outer glass surfaces.

ATM 80 - (Angled Telescope Magnesium)
The Swarovski ATM 80 angled spotting scope makes for more comfortable observation whether your target is on the ground, in the trees or in awkward positions such as high above in the sky.

STM 80 - (Straight Telescope Magnesium)
Because you are looking "straight" at your target through the straight body of the Swarovski STM 80 it makes locating and following things like birds in flight much easier. Observation from a hide or car is also simpler than with an angled scope.

Swarovski STM 65 Spotting ScopeSwarovski ATM 65 and STM 65 Spotting Scopes

These standard glass scopes are designed to be budget friendly, yet provide the excellence you expect from a Swarovski. The Swarovski ATM 65 (angled) and Swarovski STM 65 (straight) are cheaper than the HD scopes as they do not have the HD Lenses of the top of the range versions. They do however still have extreamly high quality optics and excellent light transmission is still achieved with the fully multi-coated and Swarotop lens coatings. The super lightweight and tough magnesium body with the full rubber armoring that helps to protect the scope from minor impacts and the Helical Focus Ring allows for quick adjustments. They are also fully water and fogproofand come with the Swaroclean coating on the lenses that repels water and residue on outer glass surfaces. Because of their more compact size, they are ideal for travelling with, for observation that involves frequent changes of location, or those who just prefer a lighter scope.

ATM 65 - (Angled Telescope Magnesium)
The Swarovski ATM 65 angled spotting scope makes for more comfortable observation whether your target is on the ground, in the trees or in awkward positions such as high above in the sky.

STM 65 - (Straight Telescope Magnesium)
Because you are looking "straight" at your target through the straight body of the Swarovski STM 80 it makes locating and following things like birds in flight much easier. Observation from a hide or car is also simpler than with an angled scope.

Swarovski STS 80 HD Spotting ScopeSwarovski ATS 80 HD and STS 80 HD Spotting Scopes

Very similar to the 80mm magnesium bodied scopes, except that the "S" series are made from aluminium, making them slightly heavier, but also cheaper.

The ATS 80 HD weighs 1350g (47.6oz) and the STS 80 HD weighs 1330g (46.9oz). Compare this to the ATM 80 HD: 1280g (45.2oz) and the STM 80 HD: 1270g (44.8oz)

Compared to the 65mm versions, the larger 80mm objective lens diameter is obviously bigger and heavier but it make up for it as it does not only have excellent light-gathering qualities even at high magnifications, but the fluoride-containing HD lenses minimize color fringing (chromatic aberration) and deliver high contrast images with razor-sharp outlines.

ATS 80 HD - (Angled Telescope Magnesium)
Ideal for "comfortable" birdwatching as the angled body of the Swarovski ATS 80 HD makes it far more comfortable to view objects like birds at different heights, such as in the air or in trees and for the hunter the angled scope is great for comfortable observation in steep terrain.

STS 80 HD - (Straight Telescope Magnesium)
The straight body of the Swarovski STS 80 HD simplifies locating and following birds in flight and makes it easier to observe from a hide or car.  The straight body scopes provide straight line viewing, making locating your target that bit easier.

Digiscoping with Swarovski ATS & STS HD 80 Spotting Scopes
What is great is whilst these are cheaper than the magnesium versions, they still have the extreamly high quality The HD lenses, ideal for digiscoping especially if you want to get the sharpest image possible.

Swarovski SLC BinocularsSwarovski Binoculars

Binoculars produced by Swarovski are some of the best and most highly respected on the market and just like their scopes,  Swarovski specialize in high end precision sports optics and they lead the field with their premium binoculars. Aimed at the professional or serious sports enthusiast, Swarovski binoculars offer the highest quality binoculars with ergonomic designs, functionality, and versatility and despite their high price are one of the most used binoculars on the market, as they say you get what you pay for and with Swarovski's, you get the ultimate.

Popular Swarovski Binoculars:

Swarovski Swaroclean

Swaroclean is an outer lens coating that according to Swarovski reduces the "energy on the surface" and makes cleaning them much simpler. So now cleaning both the objective and eyepiece lenses is much easier, especially when taking off things like water marks, insect repellents and tree resin. The overall effect is that the lenses require less vigorous cleaning which will significantly increase the life of your optics.

Swarovski Swarobright

Swarobright is a coating that Swarovski use on the prisms, which is said to improve the color fidelity right across the light spectrum.

Swarovski HD High Definition Lenses

Spotting Scopes containing HD lenses are constructed using objective lenses that have undergone a complex machining process. As a result even the smallest remnants of chromatic zonal aberrations are all but eliminated and thus a high contrast image is produced with even greater colour fidelity and razor-sharp outlines. HD lenses are ideal for digital photography known as digiscoping through the spotting scope.
