Best Birding Binoculars under $150
Question:
Hi, I’m on the hunt for a pair of binoculars to enhance my recent interest in birdwatching!
Here’s what I’m seeking in a pair of binoculars:
- Priced under $150 USD
- User-friendly
- Suitable for backyard use, walks, and hiking trips
- Bonus points if the binoculars are lightweight
Can you please suggest a pair of binoculars that fits this description?
Answer:
Hi, with a maximum budget of $150, you can certainly get yourself a good pair of binoculars, but at this price level and under it you need to be extra careful as there are also many that are pretty bad!
I have a page on BBR where I list what I feel are the best value for money birding binoculars (ie binoculars that offer the most features, best quality components and the best image quality for the least amount of money possible. that are also ideal for birding)
The binoculars are also arranged into each of the main price brackets as you can’t expect a $150 binocular to compete with a $1500 one in all areas.
There are two sections that will be relevant to you as they cover binoculars ranging in price from $50 – $130 and $130 – $300, so there are a bunch that fall within your budget:
Best Value Bird Watching Binoculars
I have fully tested and reviewed all the binoculars on this page and would recommend any of them for birding at their price level, but have also included a few that really jump out at me for you and your needs:
