Winner of many awards here on BBR and other places, and certainly one of the best binoculars I have ever used, the Vortex Razor UHD 10x42 Binoculars are one of my all-time favourite 42mm binoculars.
However, as you can read in my review of the 10x42 version, one of their weaknesses is their relatively large size and weight.
so with the introduction of the 8x32 and 10x32 versions, Vortex® has now added the convenience of a more compact, lightweight design to their flagship Razor UHD binoculars, which up until now were only available in full size, 42mm and 50mm options as well as the large and powerful 18x56mm beasts!
Standing at just 5.7” tall and weighing only 21.9 oz., the new Vortex Razor UHD 8x32 and 10x32 binoculars offer a lighter, more compact form without compromising too much when it comes to their optical performance.

Whilst they will not be quite as competent in low light compared to the larger versions, these 32mm Vortex Razor UHD binoculars produce a broader field of view and because of their excellent glass and coatings, should still deliver a razor-sharp image and an excellent low-light performance when compared to most other mid-size binoculars (28mm – 35mm lenses).
Key Features:

- UHD OPTICAL SYSTEM: As with the larger versions, their extremely high-quality optics should deliver an image with excellent edge-to-edge sharpness and detail.
- SCHMIDT-PECHAN PRISMS: Understandibly to make sure these are as compact as possible, Vortex has opted to use The Schmidt-Pechan design of roof prism over the less compact Abbe-Koenig prisms used in the larger 42mm, 50mm and 56mm versions.
- True Open Hinge Design
- Magnesium Chassis
- Waterproof & Argon-Gas Purged for Fog Proofing
- Locking Diopter
- Tripod Adaptable
